so there you are - roapable. you've just drained your wallet on some devlishly dysfunctional product on the net . . .
. . let's say it's a software utility. It's taken you over 3 hours just to get it to run on your system.
Then when you try and use it, it crashes your computer every 60 seconds.
60 seconds, just enough time to evaluate that it's clunky, illogical, amatuerish and just damn awful.
what do you do?
You scramble to Find any contact information.
"Thank god for that iron-clad money back guarantee" you think
So you look for the phone number. Not there.
You look for a mailing address. Not there.
You look for a Fax no. Not there.
But you DO find a support email address. "Phyoo, you think, "for a moment there I thought I had been ripped off".
So you email support with your complaint. Almost immediately you get back an answer. "Wow that was quick, you think"
Experiencing Problems with our Servers
It says something to the effect "We are experiencing problems with our servers at the moment. Your request has been acknowledged and will be processed as soon as the problem with our servers has been rectified. Please allow 7 days for our response. Do not reply to this message. It is an automated response."
"Grrrrr, " you think, "Oh well it could happen to anyone" and you wait.
10 Days pass and no follow up. So you email your annoyance again.
Another 10 days pass. But a reply comes in: "We have no record of your complaint. Please try again. Please allow 7 days for our response. Do not reply to this message. It is an automated response."
So you email your complaint again. 10 Days pass and no follow up.
Finally a reply comes in: "We have recorded your complaint. Your money will be refunded into an account of your choosing. Please allow 7 days for our response. Do not reply to this message. It is an automated response."
10 Days pass and no follow up. So you email your annoyance again.

"What? It's nowher near my account" you say and outraged you email your protest.
Another 10 days passes before a reply comes in: "We have already refunded the money into your account. This occurred on 10th March 2010. Do not reply to this message. It is an automated response."
Now seething, you email your protest again.
